Start with the physical installation space
Measure the exact width, depth and height of the available utility area. Check doorways, staircases, corridor turns and the access path from your delivery vehicle. Confirm where the water inlet tap, drainage outlet, and grounded electrical point are located.
Inspect the exterior, drum spider & door gasket
Look for rust or corrosion around the machine base and hinges. Rotate the drum gently by hand; it should turn smoothly without harsh grinding or scraping (which indicates worn bearings). Inspect the rubber door boot gasket for mildew or tears.
Always ask for a complete multi-cycle live test
A quick 10-second power-on is never enough. At our Coimbatore yard, we connect water lines and run a wash agitation, drain pump cycle, and maximum-RPM spin. Check that water evacuates swiftly and listen for abnormal pump groans or drum rattles.
Read condition grades and service notes together
A Grade B appliance might have minor cosmetic scratches on the side panel while having a 100% brand-new motor inverter or pump. We distinguish cosmetic condition from mechanical integrity so you get optimal value.
